Camilla gritted her teeth as she stood there. "Gee! Thanks Miss!" said the child as he took a wrapped copy of a Grognak the Barbarian comic book from her hands. A couple days ago, Camilla had the bright idea to rob the frankly primitive settlement of Diamond City. With the amount of guards around, most didn't try anything at such a scale and so brazen, but with the potential of hauling off the whole city's Christmas purchases, Camilla decided to trust in her skills.
Erroneously.
She hadn't even gotten very far, breaking into a business near to the entrance after night had fallen, immediately eyeing a bedazzled Pip-Boy 3000. The item alone would have turned a pretty penny, but this model was ornamented. Various gemstones adorned the machine, they looked like Diamonds but Camilla knew that there were many things in the world that looked like a Diamond. None-the-less; be it a mistake due to the exciting potential, her age catching up with her, or just plain bad karma, Camilla tripped over a wire trailing along the floor.
She hadn't fallen, she atleast kept her balance, however it was just enough to cause her step to thud. Not much of one, but in the dead silence of the night, it may as well have been an explosion. And thus, an operation to make off with the city's Christmas gifts immediately turned into a gambit to make it out with her life.
The business owner that spotted her wore a long red coat, a flat cap, and unfortunately for Camilla, a camera around her neck. There was a quick flashbang as a picture was taken, and thus began the bartering. The business owner, who Camilla could easily infer was Piper Wright, a journalist, threatened to turn her over to the city's guards. Camilla attempted to call her bluff, that Piper knew better than anyone that the city's guards were ineffective at best, but in the face of photo evidence existing, it was a hard sell.
There was one thing that saved Camilla. She had aimed for Christmas and, while she got caught, it was still Christmastime, and so in the spirit of the season Piper laid out an alternative to turning her over to the authorities to be executed.
Camilla was already regretting it.
Operating on her own for a long time, and not trusting anyone to defend her belongings on her behalf, Camilla always kept her belongings either with her or nearby. And Piper's stipulation was to donate it ALL to the city's children to spread the Christmas cheer that Camilla had attempted to steal, and then she would be set free. Camilla had to just stand there and hand out her every belonging for free. She wasn't even paying attention to the people or items anymore, all that was running through her head was the amount of caps she was losing with each handout.

"Ain't it a good feeling to give, huh? Instead of to take?" said Piper earnestly.
"I'm gonna fucking kill y-" began Camilla, before her hair stood on end as a ludicrous amount of volts shot through her. Piper was good-natured, but not foolish, and had not only taken Camilla's weapons from her for the duration of the gift-giving, but had also rigged her up with a shock collar scavenged from a nearby prison. Its strength was variable, but Camilla knew it was powerful enough to knock her unconscious at its maximum strength.
"Ah-ah-ah! No killing anyone" lectured Piper, wagging her finger with a cocky smile on her face. "There's a story about what happens to greedy assholes at Christmas, you know. WooOooOoOooo~! Piper wiggled her fingers in a "spooky" fashion. Camilla gritted her teeth so hard you could almost see steam shooting from her ears.
"Fine." spat Camilla tersely, before turning to the next child in line. "Here... Kiddo." she forced out, handing over a mint condition Blast Radius Board Game. (100 caps)
"There's a good little miscreant" beamed Piper.
Camilla was truly in hell.
